Her word when she saw his wisdom: THE HALF WAS NOT TOLD ME
Whom the Lord said she would judge: THE MEN WHO REFUSED A GREATER THAN SOLOMON
The subject, hearing of the fame of Solomon and of the name of the LORD, came from the far south to Jerusalem with a great retinue, camels bearing spices, gold in abundance, and precious stones, to test him with hard questions.
She told him all that was on her mind, and Solomon answered every question; nothing was hidden from him that he could not explain to her.
When she had seen his wisdom, his house, the food of his table, his servants, and his ascent to the house of the LORD, there was no more breath in her.
She said the report she had heard was true, yet she had not believed until she came and saw with her own eyes, and that the half had not been told her; his wisdom and prosperity surpassed the fame.
She blessed the LORD who had delighted in Solomon and set him on the throne of Israel, gave the king great gifts, and returned to her own land. The Lord Jesus later named her the queen of the South who came from the ends of the earth to hear wisdom, and who would rise in judgment against those who refused a greater than Solomon.
EYES ONLYRestricted // Sacred Record
- The truly wise travel far and give much to seek out God's wisdom.
- Seeing for oneself, we often find the half was never told.
- One greater than Solomon has come, and it is folly to ignore Him.
