What he said to doubting Nathanael: COME AND SEE
His request in the upper room: LORD, SHOW US THE FATHER
The subject, from Bethsaida, was found by Jesus, who said to him, Follow me. He at once sought Nathanael, telling him they had found the one Moses and the prophets wrote of, Jesus of Nazareth.
When Nathanael doubted that anything good could come from Nazareth, the subject answered simply, Come and see, and brought him to Jesus.
At the feeding of the multitude, Jesus tested him, asking where they could buy bread. The subject answered that two hundred denarii would not be enough to give each a little.
When certain Greeks wished to see Jesus, they came to the subject, who told Andrew, and together they brought the request to the Lord.
In the upper room the subject said, Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us. Jesus answered, Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. By tradition the subject later preached in Asia Minor.
