The six sons she bore Abraham: ZIMRAN, JOKSHAN, MEDAN, MIDIAN, ISHBAK, AND SHUAH
Where their descendants were sent: EASTWARD, TO THE EAST COUNTRY
The subject was taken by Abraham as wife after the death of Sarah. Though the promise ran through Isaac, Abraham was not yet done fathering nations, and she bore him six sons in his old age.
She bore Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah, from whom came peoples of the eastern deserts, among them the Midianites who would later cross the path of Israel.
Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac, the son of promise. To the sons of his concubines, hers among them, he gave gifts and sent them away eastward while he still lived, that there be no rivalry over the inheritance.
The subject holds a quiet place in the record: a wife of the patriarch whose children were blessed with provision, yet set apart from the covenant line of Isaac.
The Chronicler names her among Abraham's line, preserving that even the sons sent away were remembered, and their father's late fruitfulness recorded.
