What the Philistine lords offered her: ELEVEN HUNDRED PIECES OF SILVER EACH
How she finally wore him down: SHE PRESSED HIM DAILY UNTIL HE TOLD ALL
The subject was a woman of the Valley of Sorek whom Samson loved. The lords of the Philistines came to her, each offering eleven hundred pieces of silver, to entice him and learn the secret of his great strength that they might overpower him.
Three times she begged him to tell her, and three times he deceived her, and each time she called the Philistines to seize him, and each time he broke free, for the secret was not yet told.
Day after day she pressed him with her words and urged him, until his soul was vexed to death, and at last he told her that he was a Nazirite whose hair had never been cut; if it were shaved, his strength would leave him.
Knowing he had told her all, she called the lords, lulled him to sleep on her knees, had his head shaved, and cried that the Philistines were upon him.
He awoke, not knowing the LORD had left him, and this time he could not break free. The Philistines seized him, gouged out his eyes, and bound him to grind at the mill, and the subject received her silver for the betrayal of God's judge.
