God gives the word.
It is His revelation. His truth. His message. He is the source. The initiator. The revealer of mysteries.
But revelation doesn't end with reception. It is our responsibility to do the due diligence-to become vessels able to hold it and faithfully express it.
God entrusts the word to human carriers. And not all carriers are equal. Some leak. Some distort. Some crack under pressure. But some are prepared, refined, and ready to hold what God pours in.
"But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand." - Isaiah 64:8
"But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us." - 2 Corinthians 4:7
Paul calls us "jars of clay"-fragile, common, earthen vessels. Yet God chooses to place His treasure inside us. The Word made flesh now entrusts His word to flesh.
But not every jar can hold every treasure. Some vessels are too small. Some are too cracked. Some are too contaminated. Some are too brittle.
The preparation of the vessel matters.
STEWARDSHIP
God gives the word freely. But He doesn't force it into unprepared hearts. There is work to be done before the word can be fully received and faithfully expressed.
1. Purification
"In a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work." - 2 Timothy 2:20-21
You can't carry clean water in a dirty cup. If you want to hold God's word, you must be cleansed. Sin contaminates. Compromise distorts. Unrepentance clogs the vessel.
2. Capacity Building
"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear." - John 16:12
Jesus had more to give, but the disciples couldn't hold it yet. They lacked the capacity. Revelation requires readiness. You must expand your vessel through study, meditation, discipline, and spiritual maturity.
3. Strengthening
"Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees." - Hebrews 12:12
Weak vessels crack under the weight of truth. God's word is heavy. It carries authority. It demands obedience. It confronts culture. You must be strong enough to bear it without breaking.
4. Faithfulness in Small Things
"One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much." - Luke 16:10
God tests vessels with small words before entrusting them with great revelations. If you can't steward a verse, you won't be trusted with a vision. Prove faithful with what you've been given.
It's not enough to receive the word. You must also faithfully express it.
Some people hear the word but never speak it. They hoard revelation like a miser hoards gold. But the word is not meant to be buried-it's meant to be multiplied.
"What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops." - Matthew 10:27
Expression requires:
- Clarity - Don't muddy the message with your opinions.
- Courage - The word will offend. Speak it anyway.
- Accuracy - Don't add to it. Don't subtract from it. Say what God said.
- Timing - The right word at the wrong time is the wrong word.
God gives the word. You steward it. You protect it. You deliver it. Faithfully.

CARRY MORE
Carrying God's word is not glamorous. It's costly.
Jeremiah was thrown in a cistern. Isaiah was sawn in two. John the Baptist was beheaded. Paul was beaten, stoned, shipwrecked, and imprisoned.
"If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you." - John 15:20
The word you carry will make you a target. It will cost you friendships. It will cost you opportunities. It will cost you comfort.
But the reward is greater. To be a vessel God uses is the highest honor.

"It is required of stewards that they be found faithful." - 1 Corinthians 4:2
God doesn't entrust His word to everyone equally. He looks for those who will take it seriously. Those who will handle it with care. Those who will guard it, study it, live it, and proclaim it.
If you've been given the word-whether a verse, a teaching, a vision, or a calling-you've been given a sacred trust.
Don't take it lightly. Don't neglect it. Don't corrupt it.
Do the due diligence. Prepare the vessel. Become the kind of carrier God can trust with His treasure.
God gives the word. It is your responsibility to become a vessel able to hold it and faithfully express it.
So purify yourself. Expand your capacity. Strengthen your resolve. Prove faithful in small things. And when the word comes-carry it well.
Because the world needs vessels who won't leak, crack, or compromise.
The world needs faithful carriers of the word.
"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." - 1 Corinthians 15:58
