Romans 5:11

Received Reconciliation

“...we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation (katallagēn).”

Peace with God — the gift already given. Katallagē as something received, not achieved.

2 Corinthians 5:18–19

Ministry of Reconciliation

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation (katallagēs).”

“God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation (katallagēs).”

Ministry to others — the reconciled become reconcilers. Commission, not just position.

Romans 11:15

Reconciliation to the World

“For if their rejection brought reconciliation (katallagē) to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?”

Life to the world — katallagē at cosmic scale. Rejection becomes the hinge of universal restoration.
